KUALA LUMPUR (June 7): Foreign ownership of Malaysian sovereign and corporate bonds and bills dropped 6.3% to RM192.5 billion in May, the lowest since August, according to central bank data.

* Global funds pared holdings of the nation’s government bonds by 5.4% to a 9-month low of RM171.7 billion in May, data from Bank Negara Malaysia show.

* Demand for emerging-market bonds has weakened in recent weeks as a stronger US dollar and global trade tensions hurt appetite for riskier assets.
