JOHOR BAHRU (March 22): The chairman of the National Felda Settlers' Children Association or Persatuan Anak Peneroka Felda (Anak), Mazlan Aliman who was a former Parti Amanah Negara (PAN) Supreme Council member, has been picked up from his house in Felda Bukit Ramun near Kulai at about 1.30am.

Johor Amanah chairman Aminolhuda Hassan who confirmed the arrest said Mazlan was now being brought to a court in Jalan Duta, Kuala Lumpur for remand order.

“This morning after he was apprehended, he was brought to Kulai police district headquarters (IPD) for questioning.

“After that, I managed to get to Kulai IPD to meet the investigation officer of the case and was told Mazlan would be brought to Sentul IPD before going to court in Jalan Duta, Kuala Lumpur for a remand order.

“I believe his arrest maybe be related to a police report made by the Prime Minister’s wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor through her counsel, Noor Hajran Mohd Noor at Sentul IPD in Kuala Lumpur on Monday,” he said.

Elaborating further, Aminolhuda said the arrest should not have been carried out as it showed as if Mazlan was a criminal when he is not.

“He is known throughout the country as Anak chairman and I am confident if the authorities have asked him to come forward to assist investigations he would do so voluntarily.

“He is not an irresponsible man and he will not run away,” said Aminolhuda.

The police report was lodged by Rosmah on Monday following a video uploaded on Youtube entitled “ Mazlan Aliman Amanah-Pecah Rahsia: Isteri Najib Razak di belakang Projek Ikan Sturgeon yg Lingkup" ( Mazlan Aliman Amanah - Expose Secret : Najib Razak’s Wife behind failed Sturgeon Project).

The video, according to Rosmah had smeared her reputation and integrity as it openly accused her of being involved in the Sturgeon Farming project.
