(April 14): As the search for missing trekker Dennis Lee Thian Poh enters into its 10th day, the family is anxious but hopeful that rescuers would find him in time to celebrate his second wedding anniversary this Saturday.

Search efforts are now concentrated in the areas between Khopra and Bayeli, and Dobasto and Tadatani, a family friend said in an email today.

Two days ago, it was reported that Putrajaya offered a reward of 200,000 Indian rupees (RM7,350) for information leading to the finding Lee, who has been missing since April 5 in the area of Ghorepani in the Khopra Danda trek in Nepal.

The father of two children was travelling with a group of trekkers from Khopra Danda to Deurali when he went missing.

The group was said to have already reached the highest point of their trek and was on their first day of descent when Lee went missing.

"As it is now day 10 since Dennis has vanished and weather conditions in the search area are worsening, we continue to need as much support teams on the ground to widen the search," the friend said.

She added that while the family was anxious, they remained steadfast in their determination to find him.

Lee's wife, Jennifer Peters, is also on site helping to coordinate search efforts. They have two teenage daughters.

"Dennis and his wife Jennifer will be celebrating their second wedding anniversary on April 18 and the family hopes very much they will be able to celebrate it together," the friend said.
