SINGAPORE (March 31): Ezra Holdings and Japan-based Chiyoda Corp have formed a 50:50 joint venture company called EMAS CHIYODA Subsea, following the completion of the latter’s investment in the former’s subsea services business, EMAS AMC.

EMAS CHIYODA Subsea will commence operations from April 1, 2016, the companies say in a joint statement on Thursday.

The formation of the JV company comes after a share sale and subscription agreement and a memorandum of understanding inked between Ezra and Chiyoda.

Shares in Ezra were suspended from trading pending the release of this announcement. The counter last traded at 11.1 cents on March 30.
