PETALING JAYA: The Edge Malaysia Property Excellence Awards (Tepea) is back for its 16th edition. This year, it sees a new partner in Auto Bavaria.

“We are happy to welcome a new partner to The Edge Malaysia Property Excellence Awards — Auto Bavaria — and we are also proud to welcome back USG Boral Malaysia as our partner for the third year,” said The Edge Media Group publisher and group chief executive officer Ho Kay Tat at a partners’ meet yesterday.

“Our awards are based on both quantitative and qualitative standards to recognise the hard work and pursuit of excellence of Malaysia’s top property developers. These brands match what the awards were created for, with their high standards of quality and performance,” he added.

Auto Bavaria is no stranger to The Edge Media Group in event partnerships, but it is the first time it has partnered the group for the property event, according to its managing director Jeffrey Gan.

“It is a good brand collaboration. We are very selective with who we sponsor and work with. Looking at the profile of the awards winners, we believe that we can have a win-win situation through this partnership,” he said.

“We are looking to show the public that Auto Bavaria is the preferred dealer for BMW. In order to show the strength of Auto Bavaria, we need a strong partner to leverage and we believe The Edge is the right one,” added Gan.

Returning as a partner for the third year is USG Boral Malaysia. Managing director Daron Cheah believes that the quality of the awards programme matches the company’s positioning as a market leader.

“We found out that the awards are pretty consistent, in terms of the quality of the event, the participants, and the judging process, as well as how it is being presented.

“We can also see that it is the owners and bosses who are attending the event, meaning they have faith in the awards and they believe in it. We know we have partnered with the right media to get the branding mileage in the property industry,” he added.

The awards presented last year included The Edge Malaysia Top Property Developers Awards, The Edge Malaysia Outstanding Property Entrepreneur Award, The Edge Malaysia-PEPS Value Creation Excellence Award, The Edge Malaysia-PAM Green Excellence Award and The Edge Malaysia Affordable Urban Housing Excellence Award.

The Edge Malaysia Property Excellence Awards is presented by City & Country, the property pullout of The Edge Malaysia, and supported by EdgeProp.my. This year’s award ceremony will be held in Kuala Lumpur on Oct 29.
