KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 28): Piling specialist Econpile Holdings Bhd and investor relations consultancy Aquilas Advisory (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd recently treated underprivileged and marginalised children of Chow Kit and surrounding areas in Kuala Lumpur to a fun outing.

In a statement yesterday, Econpile and Aquilas said the children, aged 7 to 17, are under the care of Yayasan Chow Kit (YCK).

The companies said YCK provides the children with a safe space and exposure to opportunities to encourage them to reach their full potential.

Over the weekend, the children were taken to view wax figures of global and local iconic personalities at Red Carpet @ iCity.

The educational trip was borne out of a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project by main sponsor Econpile, and co-sponsor Aquilas.

Econpile group chief executive Raymond Pang said the group’s CSR projects usually focus on children, especially in the field of education.

“This outing combines our criteria perfectly! We are proud to organise this memorable experience, because every child matters,” he said.

Meanwhile, Aquilas chief executive officer Terence Loo said with this CSR project, the companies hoped to inspire less privileged children to aspire toward greatness.
