KUALA LUMPUR: D'nonce Technology Bhd executive director Kuah Choon Ching will be redesignated as chief executive officer (CEO) of the company effective Sept 1, replacing Law Kim Choon who has resigned.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, D'nonce announced the resignation of Law, 61, as its CEO and group managing director, citing his desire to pursue personal interests.

According to D'nonce's Annual Report 2017, Law joined the board of directors of D’nonce on Oct 23, 2000. He had been the CEO of the group since 2002 and was appointed the group managing director on Feb 1, 2008.

He started his career working in a bank in 1977 before leaving in 1991 to join D’nonce Group.

Meanwhile, Kuah, 33, joined the board of D’nonce on May 2. He is an entrepreneur and has started several enterprises distributing consumer products while in the UK.

Kuah returned to Malaysia and worked for a group of companies involved in the oil and gas industry. He founded the CCK Petroleum Group in 2007, initially involved in inland trading and logistics in the oil and gas sector. He is currently the group managing director of CCK, which has expanded its operations to cover marine oil bunkering, oil tanker carrier operator, marine lubricants and marine oil trading.

D’nonce shares closed down 0.5 sen or 1.51% at 32.5 sen today, with 928,400 shares done, bringing it a market capitalisation of RM63.02 million.
