KUALA LUMPUR: Dagang NeXchange Bhd (DNeX) has signed an exclusive brand licence agreement with EC-Council International Ltd to offer cybersecurity services in Malaysia.

Under the agreement, DNeX, through its wholly-owned subsidiary DNeX Technology Sdn Bhd, will provide cybersecurity consultancy and advisory services based on the delivery model, methodology and brand of EC-Council Global Services (EGS).

EGS is a division of EC-Council that offers comprehensive cybersecurity services, and is dedicated to help organisations understand and manage their cybersecurity risk posture effectively.

“EC-Council with its leading edge experience and impressive list of clients can give a boost to our existing cybersecurity services offerings,” said DNeX executive deputy chairman Datuk Samsul Husin in a statement yesterday.

He added that DNeX will be able to have access to EC-Council’s methodologies and learn cybersecurity implementation in key global economies.

“EGS uses a four-phased cybersecurity methodology to assess, block, correct and defend cybersecurity in a client environment. With this licensing deal, DNeX will offer the holistic approach to cybersecurity of EGS and develop a cybersecurity framework that helps in identification, protection, detection, response and recovery to cyberthreats to clients in Malaysia,” said EC-Council group president Jay Bavisi.
