PETALING JAYA (June 25): Around 45 owners of luxury condominium units at Danga Bay, Johor Bahru had lodged a police report yesterday, stating that the property developer had amended the sale and purchase (S&P) agreement, which they had signed, without their knowledge, according to Bernama.

The police report was lodged after the owners found out about the matter, which was after a decision by the Johor Bahru Consumers Claim Tribunal last June 7, said Perling assemblyman Cheo Yee How.

Cheo claimed that the owners had discovered that some pages that did not have their signatures had been inserted in the S&P agreement.

“We want the Housing and Local Government Ministry and the relevant authorities to take note of such amendments in the S&P agreement and to take further action.

“This gives a bad image on the country, and a reminder to other developers,” he said.
