KUALA LUMPUR (Apr 22): Cypark Resources Bhd aims to increase its revenue and profit contribution from renewable energy (RE) and environmental engineering to about 60%-70% by 2015, from its current contribution of 50%.

Speaking to reporters today after the group's annual general meeting, Cypark CEO Datuk Hj Daud Ahmad said the group was on track to transform its business.

"We are moving from the traditional engineering, construction and landscaping company to a renewable energy company.

"Our contributions from these two divisions (RE and environmental engineering) have been increasing steadily," he said.

When asked if Cypark would be working together with 1 Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) to develop the sovereign wealth fund's power plant in Kedah, Daud said: "We have a very strong interest to work with 1MDB, but I cannot say anything more."
