KUALA LUMPUR(June 4): Cuscapi Bhd chairman Datuk Mohd Jimmy Wong Abdullah has resigned due to a personal matter, two months after his appointment on March 28.

Cuscapi, which provides restaurant management solutions, announced the resignation of Abdullah in its filing with Bursa Malaysia this evening.

Abdullah, 56 also sits on the board of MyEG Services Bhd as an independent non-executive director.

He was formerly attached to the Royal Malaysian Police, before retiring in 2002.

Datuk Jayakumar Paneer Selvam, who is the managing director of MY EG Integrated Networks Sdn Bhd, is an alternate director to Abdullah.

Cuscapi shares have lost more than half of its market value since the 14th General Elections on May 9. Compared with its closing price of 35.5 sen on May 8, its share price has come down 56% to 15.5 sen, for a market capitalisation of RM133.19 million.
