KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 26): CIMB Bank Bhd and CIMB Islamic Bank Bhd are raising their base lending rate (BLR) and fixed deposit rates by 0.25% effective Feb 2.

In a statement today, CIMB Group Holdings Bhd said similarly, loans and financing based on BLR and base financing rate respectively will be increased by 0.25%.

This is in response to Bank Negara Malaysia's move to raise the overnight policy rate by 25 basis points to 3.25% yesterday.
