KUALA LUMPUR (May 26): China Automobile Parts Holdings Ltd (CAP), whose auditor PKF retracted its audit report for the financial year ended Dec 31, 2015 (FY15), said it is unable to release its first quarterly report ended March 31, 2017 (1QFY17) to Bursa Securities by the May 31 deadline.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, CAP said this was due to it being unable to finalise its 1QFY17 report within the stipulated time frame.

"The company is unable to determine the expected timeline for issuance of the 1QFY17 report at this juncture," it added.

Under Bursa's Main Market listing requirements, if CAP fails to issue the quarterly report within five market days from May 31, trading in the securities of CAP will be halted.

"The suspension will be effected on the market day following the expiry of the suspension deadline and will be uplifted on the market day following the issuance of the report unless otherwise determined by Bursa Securities. As such, the suspension will be effected on June 8," said CAP.

And if CAP fails to issue the 1QFY17 report within six months from the expiry of the time frame, it faces de-listing procedures.

Shares of CAP closed unchanged at 2.5 sen today, with 10.36 million shares done, for a market capitalisation of RM34 million.
