KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 18): Chin Hin Group Bhd's indirect wholly-owned subsidiary Metex Modular Sdn Bhd (MMSB) will construct an integrated workers complex with comprehensive facilities in Pengerang, Johor, for RM238.3 million.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, Chin Hin said MMSB had on Dec 15 accepted a letter of award from Saujana Vision Sdn Bhd for the job. The contract period is for 12 months, commencing Jan 1, 2018.

MMSB is principally involved in the business of provision of design, engineering, manufacturing and construction of modular unit and prefabricated, prefinished volumetric construction solutions, while Saujana Vision is a builder and contractor of construction works.

Chin Hin intends to fund the contract via internally generated funds and/or external borrowings.

At the midday market break, Chin Hin was up 3 sen or 2.5% to RM1.24 with 525,900 shares changing hands.
