KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 18): Bursa Malaysia slapped SLP Resources Bhd with an unusual market activity (UMA) query on the sharp fall in the price of the plastic-packaging player's shares.
SLP shares fell 48 sen or 19% to the stock's intraday low of RM2.
At 12.30pm, its shares settled at RM2.23 with 1.2 million units traded.
At RM2.23, SLP has a market value of RM551.55 million. SLP was the third-largest decliner across Bursa Malaysia.
Yesterday (Aug 17), SLP shares closed lower at RM2.48 from RM2.78 a day earlier.
Today, Bursa Malaysia told SLP: "We draw your attention to the sharp fall in price of the company's shares recently."
SLP had not responded to Bursa Malaysia's UMA query at the time of writing.
