KUALA LUMPUR (March 9): Bursa Malaysia has issued an unusual market activity (UMA) query on the recent sharp rise in D & O Green Technologies Bhd's share price.

D & O manufacturers opto-semiconductor products. The company's shares closed at 40 sen on March 1 this year, before rising to 54 sen yesterday (March 8).

Today, D & O shares hit their highest at 58 sen so far. At 11:24am, the stock pared gains at 55 sen, for a market capitalisation of RM574.26 million. The stock saw some 14 million shares traded. 

Bursa Malaysia told D & O today: "We draw your attention to the sharp rise in the price of your company’s shares recently". 

D & O had not responded to Bursa Malaysia's UMA query at the time of writing.
