KUALA LUMPUR (March 14): Bumi Armada Bhd announced today that its indirect wholly-owned subsidiary Bumi Armada Americas Corp (BAAC) had been dissolved on Feb 18, 2019, in line with the group's recent cost-optimisation exercise. 

In a statement to Bursa Malaysia, oil and gas support services provider Bumi Armada said BAAC was formed under the Texas Business Organisation Code in the United States of America on Jan 9, 2017. Bumi Armada said BAAC's dissolution was stated in the Certificate of Fact from the Secretary of State of Texas dated yesterday (March 13, 2019).

Today, Bumi Armada said: "The dissolution of BAAC is in line with Bumi Armada Group’s recent cost optimisation exercise and is not expected to have any material impact on the earnings or net assets of Bumi Armada group for the financial year ending 31 December 2019 (FY19)."

At 12:30pm, Bumi Armada shares settled 0.5 sen up at 20 sen, with some 68 million units traded. The stock had exchanged hands between 19 sen and 20.5 sen so far today.
