KUALA LUMPUR (Sep 28): Boustead Holdings Bhd has issued a 10-year Islamic Medium Term Note (IMTN) worth RM500 million under its sukuk programme.

This comes after an earlier IMTN worth RM2 billion announced by the group on Sept 12.

Affin Hwang Investment Bank Bhd, in a statement issued on behalf of Boustead, said the proceeds raised from the two sukuk programmes will be used to refinance existing borrowings and to finance future property development projects and capital expenditures.

Boustead's share price closed up two sen or 0.69% at RM2.90, giving a market capitalisation of RM5.88 billion.
