KUALA LUMPUR (May 28): Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) said today that former Treasury Secretary General Tan Sri Dr Mohd Irwan Serigar Abdullah is no longer a member of the central bank's board with effect from May 14, 2018. This is because Mohd Irwan ceased to hold the office of Treasury Secretary General with effect from that day.

"BNM would like to inform that Mohd Irwan Serigar bin Abdullah was appointed as a member of BNM board of directors (BNM board) by virtue of him holding the office of Secretary General to the Treasury.

"Since Mohd Irwan Serigar has ceased to hold the office of Secretary General to the Treasury with effect from 14 May 2018, he is no longer a member of BNM board with effect from that date," BNM said.
