KUALA LUMPUR: Bintai Kinden Corp Bhd has secured two contracts from Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) worth RM33.95 million.

The group said its wholly-owned subsidiary Kejuruteraan Bintai Kindenko Sdn Bhd (KBK) will be undertaking works in relation to the Transmission Main Intake (PMU) for Penang Island for RM30.65 million.

The second contract worth RM3.3 million will see KBK undertake the proposed 132kV double circuit underground cable from Shah Alam city and Keretapi Tanah Melayu Bhd in Shah Alam south, into PMU Shah Alam South.

The Penang contract is estimated to be completed within 685 days, and the Shah Alam contract within 450 days, the group said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.

It added that the contracts will contribute positively to its revenue and earnings for the current financial year ending March 31, 2019, subject to the stages of progress to be recognised.
