KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 1): Berjaya Media Bhd (BMedia), which publishes The Sun newspaper, said it is still in the midst of formulating a plan to regularise its financial conditions.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, BMedia said it has approximately four and a half months, or up to Dec 20, to submit its regularisation plan to the regulatory authorities for approvals.

"Any further development on the regularisation plan will be announced accordingly," it added.

BMedia slipped into Practice Note 17 (PN17) status in June last year after its shareholders’ equity on a consolidated basis fell to less than RM40 million, representing 25% or less of its issued capital.

BMedia shares were untraded today. The stock last closed at 28 sen yesterday, with a market capitalisation of RM65.82 million.
