KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 13): Berjaya Group Bhd has sold more shares in its auto arm, Berjaya Auto Bhd (BAuto), while the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) was a net buyer of the company’s shares, filings with Bursa Malaysia today showed.

Berjaya Corp Bhd, controlled by Tan Sri Vincent Tan, disposed of 945,000 shares or 0.1% to reduce its equity stake to 44.16% in BAuto. The transaction was done through direct deal on Tuesday.

Berjaya Corp has so far disposed a 6.3% stake in BAuto this month, after announcing yesterday it disposed some 50.06 million shares in auto firm.

Meanwhile, the EPF was a net buyer in BAuto today, after acquiring 34,900 shares on Monday.

However, for the current month so far, the provident fund was a net seller after disposing some 2.22 million shares or 0.3% in BAuto.

BAuto share price was up four sen or 1.2% to RM3.48, translating to a market capitalisation of RM2.81 billion.
