KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 4): Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Bhd’s former acting president and chief executive officer Afidah Ghazali has resigned as a non-independent and non-executive director of Malaysian Bulk Carriers Bhd (Maybulk).

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Maybulk said Afidah’s resignation follows her departure from Bank Pembangunan.

She had reportedly taken over the helm of Bank Pembangunan shortly after the previous CEO, Shaharuddin Zainuddin, left in July last year.

Before taking on the role as acting president and CEO, Afidah was the chief financial officer of Bank Pembangunan, having served the development bank for the last nine years.

She was appointed to the board of Maybulk on Oct 8, 2014.
