KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 10): AWC Bhd announced today that its Singapore unit has secured a sub-contract in the republic worth S$8.57 million (RM25.97 million).

Stream Environment (S) Pte Ltd (SEPL) was awarded the sub-contract by SDK Consortium, AWC said in a filing.

The job scope comprises works on pneumatic waste and linen chute system, as well as foodwaste treatment system work.

The work forms part of SDK’s proposed development of six blocks of seven-storey health campuses comprising acute hospital, specialist outpatient clinics, community hospital, nursing home and four basement levels in Woodlands.

SEPL’s work is expected to be completed by Jan 13, 2021.

Shares of AWC fell half a sen or 7.35% to close at 63 sen, giving it a market capitalisation of RM181.23 million.
