KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 16): Aturmaju Resources Berhad has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Yes’s Comm. Enterprise Sdn Bhd (YESS) to collaborate in a new retail business model and to supply the latter’s five retail outlets with an inventory tracking system.

In a statement today, Aturmaju said its subsidiary ARB Development Sdn Bhd had entered into the MoU with YESS — a company committed to revolutionise the online shopping experience of technology gadgets and smartphone devices in Malaysia — which would be valid for a month or until a definitive agreement is signed.

Aturmaju indicated the formalising of an agreement could result in a deal providing RM20 million in annual revenue for the company.

Aturmaju Resources Bhd’s Chief Executive Officer of Investment and Technology Datuk Larry Liew said the group believes effective enterprise resources planning (ERP) and systems integration solutions (SIS) are important for retail businesses such as YESS.

The system aims to accurately map inventory assortments against consumer preferences and seasonal trends across YESS’ operations and outlets.

“This ultimately provides better customer service with an improved, more real-time understanding of what is selling and what is not,” said Liew.

Liew added the group has recently diversified into the information and communications technology (ICT) segment and is committed to its investment and development of innovative technologies and tools.
