KUALA LUMPUR (May 19): Aturmaju Resources Bhd received another unusual market activity (UMA) query today, its third in less than three months, after its share price plunged nearly 30%.

Bursa Malaysia said it issued the UMA query after the sharp fall in Aturmaju's share price and advised investors to take note of the company's reply.

In its query, the exchange asked the Sabah-based wood products manufacturer to state if there is any corporate development, rumour or reports in relation to its business affairs that may account for the share price movement.

In its previous two UMA responses, Aturmaju's board of directors insisted that it was not aware of any causes for the share price movement.

Aturmaju's share price jumped by more than two and a half times to RM1.64 on April 21, from just 64 sen in the beginning of the year.

However, the counter began to fall since May 13, when it was trading at RM1.59.

Today, it opened at RM1.21, but sank further by 39 sen or 29.77% to close at 92 sen, with just 338,200 shares traded.

The company has a market capitalisation of RM56.21 million.
