KUALA LUMPUR (July 7): Ashley Furniture HomeStore has opened its first store in Malaysia in Citta Mall, Petaling Jaya, Selangor, after appointing HAUSLIFE Furniture Sdn Bhd as its licensee and operator here.

Hauslife offers both retail products such as Ashley Furniture’s products, as well as its own brand of products, and also project management solutions ranging from consultation to execution to suit their clients’ needs.

“We are delighted to be appointed the licensee and operator of Ashley Furniture HomeStore in Malaysia. Our partnership with a world leading furniture brand further solidifies our capabilities and passion towards offering stylish, durable and affordable home furnishings to our discerning customers,” HAUSLIFE founder cum chief executive officer (CEO) Yu Kong Cing said in a statement.

“Leveraging on our intimate knowledge of the local market, we aim to offer Malaysians the ability to create their dream home with high quality and value for money furniture products from Ashley Furniture HomeStore. By doing so, we intend to elevate this globally-renowned furniture store brand to greater heights of success in Malaysia,” Yu added.

The above-mentioned store, measuring 800 sq m, offers a one-stop furniture-sourcing platform.

The Malaysian store is Ashley Furniture’s first store outside the US that features the brand’s latest store design and layout.

“We understand that every customer who walks into our store does so by choice, which means that we must deliver outstanding quality and service to each and every one of them,” said Ashley Furniture Homestore's president and CEO Todd Wanek.

“Our growth over the past 17 years is a testament to our relentless pursuit of cultivating those relationships,” he added.

Asley Furniture Homestore, which is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year since its 1945 inception in Chicago, US, is an exclusive provider of furniture from Ashley Furniture Industries, Inc — the largest furniture manufacturer in North America and one of the largest in the world.
