KUALA LUMPUR (March 22): Ann Joo Resources Bhd said today that holders of the company's redeemable convertible cumulative preference shares (RCPS) have until 5pm on April 11 this year to submit their conversion notice form to convert the RCPS into ordinary shares. This is to enable the ordinary shares to be entitled for the steel manufacturer's dividend of 13 sen a share, which will be paid on May 21 this year.

In a statement to Bursa Malaysia, Ann Joo said the completed form of conversion notice together with the requisite payment must be received by Ann Joo's share registrar Symphony Share Registrars Sdn Bhd by the stipulated date and time to enable the ordinary shares to be credited into Ann Joo shareholders' accounts by April 23 this year, for the dividend entitlement.

"RCPS holders must take note that on submission of the form of conversion notice, the RCPS are already credited into their securities account and they shall not dispose, transfer or charge or allow the disposal, transfer or charge of the RCPS intended for the conversion, until the conversion is completed by the debiting of such RCPS from their securities account or the conversion is rejected by the company," Ann Joo said.

Last month, Ann Joo said the 13 sen dividend is for financial year ended Dec 31, 2017. The dividend's ex-date is on April 19, 2018.

At 12:30pm today, Ann Joo shares settled at RM3.30 with 166,400 units traded. The stock was transacted between RM3.30 and RM3.28 so far today.
