<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>KUALA LUMPUR (July 19): Aluminium Co of Malaysia Bhd's (Alcom) group managing director Datuk Lim Chee Khoon has stepped down from his position effective today.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>In a filing to Bursa Malaysia today, Alcom said this is to allow Lim to focus on property development projects to be launched by Alcom's wholly-owned units SCLand Development Sdn Bhd and EM Hub Sdn Bhd.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Lim, 51, has also resigned as Alcom's executive director.</p></div><div class=inPageAd id=div-gpt-ad-inpage></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Lim holds an indirect interest of 39.68 million shares or 29.32% stake in Alcom, via SCland Holdings Sdn Bhd.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>According to Alcom's 2017 annual report, Lim was appointed as Alcom's executive director on Oct 13, 2017 and assumed his role as its group managing director on Nov 8, 2017.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>With 28 years of experience in property development and project management, he was the founder of SCland Sdn Bhd, a property investment and development company, and was overseeing all its projects in Klang Valley, Selangor, Pahang and Sabah.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Prior to SCland Sdn Bhd, Lim was property development company C P Land Sdn Bhd's chief executive officer.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Shares of Alcom closed unchanged at 73 sen today, for a market capitalisation of RM98.79 million.</p></div>
