<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>In a statement today, AirAsia said there will be four flights a week on this route, its fourth direct route from Malaysia to the Philippines after Manila, Cebu and Kalibo.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>"A send-off ceremony was held at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (klia2) to celebrate the maiden flight AK590 at 10.25am with a 100% load factor," the airline said.</p></div><div class=inPageAd id=div-gpt-ad-inpage></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Celebratory all-in-fares from RM159 one-way are available for booking online at airasia.com until Dec 31, with travel period until June 30, 2018.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>AirAsia said it also connects guests to other cities in the Philippines including Clark, Manila, Catician, Kalibo, Tacloban, Palawan, Cebu and Tagbilaran.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>At 3.40pm, AirAsia's share price was one sen or 0.3% lower at RM3.32, giving a market capitalisation of RM11 billion.</p></div>
