KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 23): Advancecon Holdings Bhd has been awarded a contract for the construction of a service reservoir and associated works in Serenia City, Sepang, for RM18.81 million.

In a filing today, the construction group said its wholly-owned unit Advancecon Infra Sdn Bhd won the contract from Sime Darby Serenia Development Sdn Bhd.

The work, said Advancecon, includes pipeworks and structural works for the service reservoir, water pipe works, roadworks, drainage works, as well as street lighting services.

"The contract period shall be for a period of 12 months commencing from Dec 3, 2018 and shall be completed by Dec 2, 2019," it said.

"The group intends to fund the contract via internally generated funds and/or external borrowings," it added.

Shares of Advancecon fell half a sen or 1.7% to close at 29 sen, bringing the group's market capitalisation to RM116.5 million.
