<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>The CEO position was left vacant after Datuk Zakaria Arshad resigned on Sept 18, soon after he was suspended on Sept 13 amid investigations into the plantation group’s top management.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Zakaria held the position from April 1, 2016. He survived a boardroom tussle with former FGV chairman Tan Sri Mohd Isa Abdul Samad last year, amid a probe into improprieties concerning the extension of credit by an FGV unit to a client.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>FGV is currently undergoing a rationalisation exercise under Azhar’s stewardship to enhance its value and overall performance.</p></div>
